Keeping cosmetics and medicines organized isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about safety, longevity, and daily ease.
There are many sistems that can be used, so that depends on what you like: transparent/acrylic box, metallic box, etc. There are many options out there, so I'm going to show you some here that will help you create a system that keeps everything visible, accessible, and clutter-free.
COSMETICS:
1. Declutter first: Go through all your makeup and skincare products. Check expiry dates, texture, and smell. Toss anything that’s old or unused; cosmetics have shorter shelf lives than we think!
2. Group by category: Store products by type (skincare, makeup, haircare) or by routine (morning vs. evening).→ Example: keep daily essentials in a drawer organizer and special-occasion products in a separate box.
3. Use drawer organizers or trays: Acrylic trays, bamboo dividers, or stackable containers keep everything visible and prevent clutter from spreading. Label if needed for quick access.
4. Consider adding the mini skincare items in a fridge: ideal for serums, creams, and masks that benefit from cooler temperatures.
TOP Storage Ideas:

IDesign Clarity Cosmetic organizer, sold at Amazon for 18 EUR.

Hema sells this one as an office organizing that is perfect for make-up organizing. Only 4.50 EUR!

Or you can combine different containers with a tray , which gives your make-up organizing a very clean look! From Hema.

You can also organize your make up in a Lazy Susan, a rotating platform, so you can see everything fast. There is an option in Action that costs less than 3 EUR.
Action has a lot of options that might work for you for less than 5 EUR:

TOP TIP: Keep your makeup brushes and sponges in a ventilated holder and wash them frequently to avoid bacteria buildup.
MEDICINES:
1. Choose the right spot: Avoid the bathroom (humidity again!) and the kitchen (heat and light). A high shelf or closed cabinet in a cool, dry room is best; and always out of reach of children. We keep ours in the laundry room in a metallic box from Hema:

2. Sort by category: Group medicines into clear boxes or bins, such as:
First aid (bandages, antiseptics)
Pills
Daily prescriptions
Natural remedies or vitamins
3. Label everything: Use simple printed or handwritten labels so everyone in the household can find what they need quickly.
4. Check expiration dates regularly: Set a reminder every 6 months to review and dispose of expired medication safely (in the Netherlands, pharmacies accept them for disposal).
5. Travel & backup kits: Keep a small labeled pouch for travel or everyday use (painkillers, plasters, allergy meds).
